Some of the Best Hits from the Silver Screen

Movies and music often times go hand in hand in telling a story on the silver screen, and we’ve decided to share the best songs from the moves we love.

“To Sir With Love,” the Lulu classic song from the Sidney Poitier movie of the same name, broke all kinds of records and stereotypes in the late 60s, as a young British schoolgirl become infatuated with her teacher. This movie was more than a film, the song more than a radio hit.

Barbra Streisand’s “Evergreen (Love Theme from A Star Is Born)” was not only a Grammy winner, but a classic song from the actress and singer that was the most influential singer of the late 60s and early 70s.

Sandra Dee and Troy Donahue were pivotal stars from Hollywood in the late 50s, and the movie featured “Theme From A Summer Place” by Percy Faith and his orchestra.
