Slipknot’s Sid Wilson Recovering After Bonfire Accident: “I’m Gonna Be OK”

Slipknot’s Sid Wilson is on the mend after suffering “serious” burns in a bonfire accident. The DJ and keyboardist took to Instagram Live to update fans on his condition, reassuring everyone that he’ll be “all right.”

In a series of videos, Wilson revealed that he had an explosion in his face, leading to significant burns on his face and arms. He shared close-up views of his “singed” eyebrows, “blistered” mouth, and burned arms, captioning the video with a simple “Ouch.”

Slipknot also released a statement on their social media, confirming the accident and assuring fans that Wilson is recovering with his family. Despite the injuries, the band announced that Wilson plans to join them on stage at Rocklahoma next weekend, expressing gratitude for the well wishes.

In his videos, Wilson, hooked up to a nasal cannula, humorously noted that he’s “allergic to fire” and recounted a previous accident where he lost a finger. Despite the pain, he maintained a positive attitude, joking about his newly “free” sideburns and “cheap Botox” from the burns.

His partner, Kelly Osbourne, also shared updates on Instagram, expressing relief that Wilson is doing much better. She posted playful videos of Wilson asleep, set to songs about fire, adding a light-hearted touch to the situation.

Wilson ended his video by thanking fans for their support and assuring them he’ll be back on stage soon, though he admitted, “Sometimes, you just need to slow down and trust that inner voice.”
