Everyone knows that these days using techonology during concerts is frowned upon. While there is no rule that using phones during an event is a no-no, it’s been pushed lately that you really shouldn’t do that. Artists and bands have talked about how much they hate it and how much they wish people would enjoy the moment of a concert.
It wasn’t long ago that Slipknot’s Corey Taylor smacked a phone out of a fan’s hand, but he’s recently spoke out about it. He wasn’t upset that someone was filming or taking pictures of him during the concert though. He was upset over the fact that he thought someone was texting during the concert. To Taylor, taking photos or videos is all a part of the experience and he can’t blame his fans for doing so. We can’t either to some extent because they did pay for the ticket.
You really can’t get mad at any fan that wants to enjoy their experience the way they want, but it is worth noting that you should respect the wishes of those performing.
