On Sunday, February 5th, Shania Twain grabbed all of the attention on the 2023 Grammys red carpet, with a black and white polka dot outfit with bright red hair. While speaking on the red carpet, Twain stated, “Oh, the red hair! I thought you were gonna ask me about the polka dots, I’m just having so much fun these days, and I’m, I guess, re-enjoying fashion and playing with color. I’m in a very colorful mood.”
Twain added that the red hair went perfectly with her black and white outfit. The decision is also an expression of her current album cycle’s themes of freedom, joy, and celebrating different stages of life. “That’s part of the reason why the red hair, because I thought, ‘You know, I’m gonna be wearing black and white, so I want it to pop on the top,” she stated.
Meanwhile, Twain was also a presenter at Sunday night’s ceremony where she was able to hand out the award for Best Country Album to Willie Nelson for his album, A Beautiful Time. Since Nelson did not attend the awards, Twain accepted it on his behalf.
