Sephora finally comes back Online in the U.K., with Stores to follow Next Year

As WWD reports, on October 17, Sephora’s acquisition from last year, Feelunique.com, will become Sephora.co.uk. British customers will also be able to buy Sephora products on the beauty company’s new website and app, available on both iOS and Android.

The website, and popular Sephora App, will offer UK shoppers an extensive range of beauty products from over 1,400 brands in stock including ElemisChanelCharlotte Tilbury and Fenty. The plans are part of a further expansion from the 50-year-old French conglomerate, who look to open a new flagship store in London in March of 2023.

This news comes 22 years after the company’s initial attempt to debut in the U.K. via Kent’s Bluewater shopping center. Nine stores overall were opened but failed to compete with other beauty stores. But that was then, and this is now. Much to the excitement of British beauty fans, Sephora will be bringing its own brand, Sephora Collection, as well as Tarte Cosmetics;  GXVE by Gwen Stefani; Skinfix; Vegamour, and One/Size by Patrick Starrr to the site. Some retails sources say this may be the biggest competition reigning Brit Cosmetics giant Boots has seen to date.

Chris de Lapuente, chairman and chief executive officer of Sephora, said in a statement, “at Sephora, we innovate every day to build the most loved beauty community. We will offer British consumers a pioneering selection of beauty that is best in class for innovation, diversity and inclusion. The UK is home to a dynamic beauty and well-being market that Sephora will aim to surprise and delight through our trademark know-how and creativity.”

Customers can expect a more personalized experience from the brand new Sephora app. From exclusive access to new arrivals and promotions to custom recommendations, shoppers can now browse through the hottest beauty trends. The new app also allows IOS and Android users to redeem points as Beauty Pass Member at the Rewards Boutique. Keen shoppers of makeup, fragrance, skincare, haircare, and wellness can download the Sephora app available on IOS and Android via the Sephora website.
