Selena Gomez Gives Back for Lupus

Selena Gomez is not shy to say that she has lupus and to be a symbol of hope for others affected by the disease. It has recently come out that the singer is donating money to support Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California and their lupus research program. Her donation will be the first of what will hopefully be many in the Selena Gomez Fund for Lupus. Gomez has proven to be an icon as she works through the trials and tribulations of the autoimmune disease.

This has shown to be the case when the singer took two months away from the limelight last year to cope with anxiety and depression after she was diagnosed with lupus. What a star Selena Gomez is. She is battling her disease while making new music and promoting her Netflix series, 13 Reasons Why, and teaming up with the Keck School of Medicine to give back to those around her fighting lupus as well. Super-star!
