Seattle SuperSonics Shawn kemp Has Been Booked in a Washington Jail, In Relation to A Drive-By Shooting

Shawn Kemp, a six time NBA All-Star, has been booked into the Pierce County Jail in Washington on Wednesday, related to a drive-by shooting. The basketball legend was booked into prison at 5:58 pm PT, an hour after the shooting had taken place.

The shooting happened after a disagreement occurred between the people in two cars that were located in a parking lot close to the Tacoma Mall, where a gun was recovered. Police have stated that nobody was injured in the event and that no bond is listed on Pierce County Jail’s website.

During Kemp’s time in Seattle, he managed an average of 14,6 points and 8.4 rebounds a game after he was the 17th overall pick in the 1989 NBA Draft. He ultimately retired with the Orlando Magic after a 2002-03 season.
