Sarah McLachlan’s Grammy Chances Are Good

Sarah McLachlan has been nominated for a Grammy this year in the category of ‘Best Traditional Pop Vocal’ for her album ‘Wonderland.” As you can tell, she’s still working hard, touring and staying true to herself.

Fans have various likes and memories of Sarah, but it was her fourth album, ‘Surfacing’ in 1997, that put her on the map, earning two Grammys and four Juno awards. You may remember the hit single “Angel” which was prominently used in the ‘City of Angels’’ film, starring the Nicolas Cage and Meg Ryan.

There aren’t that many singers from Halifax Nova Scotia Canada, but Sarah is a proud Canadian who has battled the music stereotypes to earn her success, she’s turning 50 this year, so it’s a real treat to be recognized by the Grammy committee for her recent work. Music is her life, but her passion is the ASPCA group and funding the Sarah McLachlan School of Music in Vancouver.
