Recently, Apple Music released their year-end charts, showing us all who had the best 2016. The top 25 albums and songs were filled with hip-hop and pop stars, but there were plenty of rockers representing on the chart. Let’s take a look at how our favorites finished…
The top rocker on the Top 25 Albums chart from Apple Music was “Blurryface” from Twenty One Pilots. This album had three major hits on the album, all of them landing on the top 25 songs chart! “Stressed Out” landed at number nine on the songs chart while “Heathens” and “Ride” finished at 15 and 21.
Panic! at the Disco had one hell of a 2016 as well. Their album, “Death of a Bachelor” just barely cracked the top 10, landing at number 10. Radiohead’s “A Moon Shaped Pool” also made the top 25, finishing at number 22. Last but not least, albums from The Lumineers and Coldplay finished at 23 and 24.
Besides those three hits from Twenty One Pilots, there were no other rock singles on the Top 25 Songs chart.
