Rock and Roll Odds and Ends

Well, we’re nearly half way through February. Here are a few more music news headlines to kick off your work week…

Metallica is enjoying a resurgence in 2017, touring and finding their way into the news almost daily. Today is no exception as Kurt Hammet is selling his San Francisco home for a cool $16 million; that’s a $60,000 monthly mortgage payment.

Original Foreigner member Lou Gramm has been accepted back into the fold, agreeing to join the band on tour this summer for a sizable amount of dates.

Journey, the Doobie Brothers and Dave Mason are out on tour, as is REO Speedwagon, Paul Simon, Pink Floyd’s David Gilmour, Bob Dylan, Rush, and David Lee Roth.

The Beatles first contract has been auctioned off for $75,000 in a Heritage Auction a few weeks ago. The name of the band at that time was ‘Tony Sheridan And The Beat Brothers.’
