The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame announced its 2018 nominees last, and there are a few surprise, but more importantly, a few bands that frankly should have been given serious consideration years ago. The list includes 19 deserving artists, nine nominated for the very first time.
One of the nominees is the supergroup The Moody Blues. This groundbreaking rock band began in Birmingham UK in the mid-60s, mixing rock and orchestras into their hit songs. The Moody Blues are already in the Vocal Group Hall of Fame, earning countless awards for their 16 LPs, ‘Days of Future Past’ the most heralded album. “Nights in White Satin” and “Forever Afternoon (Tuesday?” the breakout FM cuts from the project.
This December we’ll know the fate of these 19 nominees, and will have to wait until April of next year before the induction ceremonies are held.
