Remembering Prince and His Greatness

On Thursday, everyone around the globe was blown away by the news of Prince’s passing at his home in Minnesota. Even though he was 57, he was still performing and wowing us all with his songs and moves. Prince was a singer at heart, but was just as much of a performer and entertainer as any star on the big screen. In fact, he might have been in more demand than many of the biggest flicks over the years.

Rolling Stone named him the 27th best artist on their 100 Greatest Artists of All Time list and with good reason. He won seven Grammys, an Academy Award, and a Golden Globe award during his time on earth. You can’t forget that he also sold over 100 million records either.

In what was known as his largest performance of all time, Prince performed for 140 million people at the 2007 NFL Championship game. In Miami, Florida, he rocked it so hard that it would be hard to name a better performance. What an amazing time that was.

Prince was one of the biggest and best and will surely be missed. If you have any questions about his popularity look to social media where there were over 60 million Prince-interactions after his death on Thursday. Many buildings, bridges, and even baseball parks lit their facilities up purple in memory of him.

Thank you for being you Prince and bringing joy to us all. Your voice will be forever heard.
