If you’re a Beatles fan, this may be the most exciting piece of news you’ll hear in some time. John Lennon’s personal copy of the album ‘Yesterday and Today’ the Fab Four’s 11th studio LP is up for auction at the Heritage Auctions House on November 11th. What makes this auction item so rare is that for one, it’s the ‘Butcher Cover’ and secondly John himself drew figures with a date on the copy. Ringo and Paul’s autographs are also on the cover.
Can you remember the singles from this LP? “Drive My Car,” “Nowhere Man,” “Yesterday,” “We Can Work it Out,” and “Day Tripper” were all tracks from this bestselling album. The amount of money this item will generate is uncertain, but just last year, a mint condition original copy of “Yesterday and Today,” yet to be opened, went for nearly $130,000.
