Previewing Record of the Year at the Grammys

On December 6 the world found out what albums were up for the prestigious award Record of the Year at the 2017 Grammys. We’re trying to wait patiently, but we can’t sit here too long wondering who will take home this piece of hardware!

There are five nominees for this one and all five are worth of winning. The great thing about this year’s award is that it covers so many genres of music. Adelle’s “Hello” is a classic album that will be known forever and Beyonce’s “Formation” took over the world from the minute it was released. Both were surprise releases and saw benefits from doing so.

Lukas Graham’s “7 Years” has to be the underdog in this battle, but it’s hard not to love the track “7 Years” off this one. Rihanna and Drake’s “Work” was entrancing with its music and lyrics making it the second hip-hop record up for this one. Finally, “Stressed Out” from Twenty One Pilots was not only a star in the world of rock, but also top 40 music as well.

The Grammys are taking place February 12 and will be hosted by James Carden.
