The NBA season is upon us and if you ask us it’s never too early for a prediction. The typical teams are doing great with the Cavs, Warriors and Clippers being among the elite teams in the league. What we want to look at though is who will be the MVP of the league come end of the season.
LeBron James is nearly averaging a triple-double, scoring 23 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists per game. He’s doing this playing 37 minutes per game, lower than his career average of 39 minutes per game.
Russell Westbrook has to be considered for the MVP and quite honestly might be the favorite. The Thunder aren’t playing to the level of the Cavs, but their team isn’t as well-rounded as Cleveland. With that said, Westbrook is averaging 32/10/10, a triple-double!
James Harden has really stepped up his game with Dwight Howard no longer on the team. He’s averaging 30/8/12 on the Rockets. The issue with Harden is his sometimes lack of effort on defense.
Damian Lillard and DeMar DeRozan are two great options as sleeper candidates, but aren’t as well rounded as the previously mentioned players. Anthony Davis is also an option from the Pelicans, but his team is the worst in the Western Conference.
Our prediction for the MVP of this NBA season is Russell Westbrook and his amazing triple-double average.
