Pop star Pink was forced to cancel her highly anticipated concert in Bern, Switzerland, scheduled for Wednesday, July 3, due to health concerns. The 44-year-old singer announced the disappointing news via Instagram on Tuesday, July 2.
“I am so sorry that I have had to cancel my show in Bern this Wednesday,” she wrote alongside a black-and-white image of herself on stage. “I do everything I can to ensure I can perform for you every night, but after consultation with my doctor and exploring all options available, I’ve been advised that I’m unable to continue with the show tomorrow.”
Pink expressed her regret over the cancellation, sharing her disappointment in not being able to perform for her fans. “I was looking forward to being with you and making memories with you and sharing our show with you and am so disappointed that we have to cancel,” she added. She assured fans that all tickets would be refunded and concluded her message with love and well-wishes, signing off, “P!nk xoxo.”
The next stop on Pink’s Summer Carnival tour is set for Copenhagen, Denmark, on Saturday, July 6. As of now, there has been no announcement regarding any changes to that performance.
Pink’s tour is scheduled to continue through Europe until the end of July, after which she will return to North America in mid-August.
Fans responded to Pink’s Instagram post with messages of support and well-wishes. “I wish you a speedy recovery 💖 get well soon,” one fan wrote. Another added, “Rest and take the time you need. The most important thing is that you get well again. We love you 💝.”
This is not the first time Pink has had to cancel shows due to health issues. In October 2023, she canceled two shows in Vancouver because of a respiratory infection. Those shows have since been rescheduled for September 2024.
Despite the setback, fans are hopeful that Pink will recover quickly and continue to bring her energetic performances to stages around the world.
