Pearl Jam Covers the Beatles in Prague

There has been a real retro movement in the contemporary music world of late, given the alternative group Weezer covered the Toto song ‘Africa’ and now Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam has covered, live in concert, the classic Beatles song “Help.”

Pearl Jam found themselves in Prague this past weekend at the O2 arena, which featured Eddie playing a solo set; and sure, enough he added the Beatle song fans of all ages seem to know, “Help.” The crowd was more than happy to help with the chorus and backup vocals, giving Eddie and the band a feature moment for years to come.

One of the most interesting fun facts of Peral Jam is that Eddie and the boys originally took the name ‘Mookie Blaylock,’ after the star NBA point guard the time, but their lawyers convinced them to change their name otherwise they’d be in court and not on stage most of their career.
