As the continuation of the End of the Road farewell tour has projected to hit its delayed end of the road sometime in the latter part of this year, KISS’ Paul Stanley comes to terms with the legitimate finale of the rock band’s legacy.
“It’s incredibly demanding to do what we do,” he explains of being a rockstar for nearly 50 years, adding that he only wants “to do it as long as [he] can do it smiling.” And, while Rock & Roll is notorious for the seductive dramatics of a pseudo farewell tour, this time around, KISS’ goodbye is official and set in stone.
“There is no thought about changing our minds,” Stanley says of the band’s decision to retire as a group, “You can play beat the clock, but ultimately the clock wins.”
KISS’ final show will be in New York, where the band started, making a full circle of their iconic history.
