Patti LaBelle is coming out with a special Christmas album in a few weeks entitled ‘Patti LaBelle and Friends — Home for the Holidays,’ and you’ll find some of her friends on the album that makes it unique.
Ruben Studdard, American Idol season two winner and Tamela Mann are on the album, filled with holiday favorites; “The Christmas Song,” “Let It Snow,” “Avé Maria,” “Don’t Save It All for Christmas Day” and “Jesus King!” are all on the LP.
Patti LaBelle and the Bluebelles was a successful all-girl group in the 60s that enjoyed their moment in the sun, led by Patti LaBelle. The band biggest tune was a suggestive song for the time called “Lady Marmalade,” stirring controversy for its French lyrics. Patti would enjoy a wonderful solo career, hitting the charts with her Michael McDonald duet “On My Own.”
