Our Favorite Elaine to Receive Mark Twain Prize

The prestigious group, the Kennedy Center, has just announced that Julia Louis Dreyfus is set to receive one of entertainments highest honor, the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor. The ceremony will take place in Washington DC, October 21st. Julia Louis Dreyfus IS deserving of the award, earning high praise for her earlier work in Seinfeld, and most recently Veep, earning an Emmy along of the way.
Julia Louis Dreyfus has broken records for Emmys won by a single performer, 11, six in a row for her work in Veep.

We’ve all been keeping her in our thoughts and prayers, as she was diagnosed with breast cancer last fall. The Mark Twain Prize for American Humor has been given to six women; following Whoopi Goldberg, Lily Tomlin, Ellen DeGeneres and Carol Burnett, Tina Fey and now Julia Louis Dreyfus.
