Our Favorite Christmas Stars and Albums

Christmas carols were first heard abroad thousands of years before we sang them, and the word Carol actually means praise. As we go about our daily lives, our modern day Carol is our favorite Christmas song we hear on our favorite local radio station. What are considered the most popular Christmas albums?

You can’t have a blessed Christmas without the ever-popular Twisted Sister, ‘A Twisted Christmas,’ released in 2006. If you like that retro swing, then it’s the Brian Setzer Orchestra, ‘Christmas Comes Alive’ LP. Early rock and roll sang the songs found on the 2002 re-issue Ventures album called, ‘Christmas Joy,’ Elvis Presley’s ‘Elvis Christmas Album’,’ and the Beach Boys album ‘Beach Boys Christmas Album’ from 1964 will do the trick.

Bob Dylan released ‘Christmas in the Heart’ in 2009, while this year’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee the Moody Blues’ ‘December’ is thought of as one of the best. The 1998 ‘Chicago XXV The Christmas Album’ from Chicago is awesome, and for those that love Southern Rock, the ‘Lynyrd Skynyrd, ‘Christmas Time Again’ album will do the trick.

From our family to yours, may your day be bright and filled with hope, presents, and loving family.
