Cauliflower is taking over some our favorite carb-filled foods, including linguini pasta and breadsticks. Ortega, known for its Mexican-inspired taco seasonings, salsa, and dips, is now entering the cauliflower game with new tortillas and shells, as well as new Street Taco Sauces.
For those who prefer crunchy tacos, the Cauliflower & Corn Taco Shells have replaced some of the corn with cauliflower, so you feel a bit better on Taco Tuesdays. The Cauliflower & Flour Tortillas are soft and tasty, but they add in more vegetables than you’re used to. We take that as our cue to have an extra taco, right? They can be used to roll up a burrito or fajita as well.
Don’t tell your salsa that you’re cheating on it, but you’re going to want to switch it up once you see the new Ortega Street Taco Sauces. Each of them come in 8-ounce bottles and are very different, so let your taste buds guide you to your favorite: Tinga Chipotle Tomato Jalapeño, Asada 3 Chile and Garlic, and Mojo Chile Lime.
“Ortega Cauliflower & Corn Taco Shells and Ortega Cauliflower & Flour Tortillas, paired with our new Ortega Street Taco Sauces, will give families the opportunity to add fun to taco night with bold, contemporary flavors and thoughtful ingredients,” Jordan Greenberg, chief commercial officer and executive vice president for B & G Foods, said in a press release.
All of the new Ortega products will be available at grocery stores nationwide. They’re also listed for purchase on Amazon, but they are not yet in stock. Consider them another reason to make every night, taco night.
