With the NBA and college basketball really starting to heat up, it’s hard to keep an eye on baseball moves. In recent news though, the Cubs and Orioles have made additions to their teams to improve their club.
Baltimore has agreed to terms with Yovani Gallardo, while the Cubs have snagged themselves Dexter Fowler. Gallardo’s deal was a little more complicated and was switched from a three-year to a two-year deal, but he will be paid $22 million over those two years.
Dexter Fowler has signed a one-year, $8 million deal with a club option for $9 million next season wit the Cubs. This comes after everyone thought that the Orioles had signed him to a three-year deal. This was a very interesting situation that has resulted in Orioles’ fans being in awe of missing out on Fowler. The Cubs on the other hand are quite happy.
