Have you ever had a song in your head that you just couldn’t stop or get out? Typically it’s a silly song like ‘Oh Mickey you’re so fine, you’re so fine you blow my mind – oh Mickey, Oh Mickey.” Scientists tell us that one hit wonders are the toughest to push out of our ‘stream of conciseness’ because by nature they’re music fungi.

“She’s Like the Wind” by Patrick Swayze came at the height of the “Dirty Dancing” craze. It was Patrick’s only serious threat to music stardom. Most people were surprised Patrick had a voice, but the studio used a lot of technology to assist the actor.
“Macarena” by Los del Rio is the perfect one hit wonder, in that it came out of left field, was performed by unknowns, and flew away as quickly as it arrived. We did however love the video.
Every actor wants to be a rock star, and soap heart throb Jack Wagner hit it big with the haunting ballad of “All I Need” in 1984. Jack can not only sing and act, but he’s considered the best actor golfer in Hollywood.
David Soul, of Starsky and Hutch, made it big in the mid-70s with “Don’t Give Up on Us Baby.” It was David’s only hit. We had to laugh when in the recent film version of the TV show, you’ll notice actor Owen Wilson singing it in the elevator scene.
