NFL Fines Panthers Owner David Tepper for Unruly Conduct

David Tepper, the Carolina Panthers’ owner, faced a substantial $300,000 fine from the NFL for improper conduct during a game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Tepper’s actions, captured on video, showed him throwing a drink towards Jaguars fans, breaching NFL’s conduct expectations.

He acknowledged his passionate support for the team but expressed regret, committing to adhere to the NFL’s conduct standards. This fine, although significant, is a minuscule fraction of Tepper’s estimated $20.6 billion net worth. The incident adds to the challenges faced by the Panthers, who have struggled under Tepper’s ownership with multiple coach dismissals and a record of 31-67 since 2018.
