On the heels of its brand launch, GrapeStars, the one-of-a-kind marketplace for celebrity wine & spirits, announces today the launch of a Republic crowdfunding campaign, aimed to create a community of celebrity wine & spirits fans.
Having just closed a $5M seed round, GrapeStars launches today a Republic crowdfunding campaign, aimed to generate funds and users by attracting investors who check both boxes. GrapeStars’ vision is to make celebrity wines and spirits more accessible to consumers and feel that the Republic crowdfunding effort will achieve that.
“GrapeStars is a groundbreaking company that is set for tremendous growth,” said company’s Chairman and investor, Kevin Harrington. Original “shark” from Shark Tank, Kevin’s ventures have launched more than 500 products producing over $5 billion in global sales. Twenty of his companies have each topped $100 million in revenue. “As more celebrities are breaking into the spirits industry, fans are finding it difficult to find their brands as there is no central place for consumers to browse and purchase these products, until now. I rarely come across such an incredible marketing play in all my years in business but GrapeStars is truly primed to become the Amazon of celeb products in just a few short years.”
Additionally, GrapeStars has unveiled the brand’s new ambassador, actor, producer, entrepreneur, Tyson C. Beckford. As brand ambassador, Beckford will join the GrapeStars team for the brand’s consumer-facing initiatives which will be announced in the months ahead. “Whether it be in my career or through my personal travels, uncorking an extraordinary bottle of wine or savoring life’s special moments through a craft cocktail are really the memories that make life sweet,” said Beckford. “I am so excited to join forces with a brand that is making life’s moments easier to celebrate. With summer underway, users can now enjoy with their favorite celebrity brand. It couldn’t be a more ideal time to kick off our partnership and I couldn’t be more proud to join a brilliant group of entrepreneurs.”
“We couldn’t be more excited to bring Tyson on as our brand ambassador,” said Co-founder & Chief Marketing officer, Robert Pelletier. “He embraces and celebrates life in the same way we feel our GrapeStars customer does and are excited to bring his joie de vivre to our business and efforts.”
