It has been reported that legendary Canadian rocker Neil Young has more new music on the way.Young has released massive amounts of previously unheard music over the past year. And on Sunday January 31st, shared on his website the news of yet another long-lost album that will soon see the light of day.
“It’s a beautiful record coming to you soon,” Young wrote in the announcement.
The album is titled Johnny’s Island, and was recorded in 1982 at Commercial Recorders in Honolulu, Hawaii. Young describes the upcoming set as a “complete album,” featuring unreleased tracks like “Big Pearl,” “Island in the Sun” and “Love Hotel,” along with “others you may have heard before.”
Earlier this month, Young also announced plans to release a new live album and concert film, Way Down in the Rust Bucket, on Feb. 26 through Reprise Records. The 19-track release documents a 1990 concert with Crazy Horse in Santa Cruz, Calif., and features performances from his album of that year, Ragged Glory.
