The NBA and players have agreed upon a new CBA that will keep the league from a lockout. This wasn’t something that is a surprise, but it is nice to see with the season fully underway.
Details of the new CBA are not completely out, but there are some rumored details that are quite exciting. For one, players will be able to sign five and six year deals, something that wasn’t always the case under the past agreement. Also, the one-and-done rule will continue to be in place. This will continue to make high school students go to college for at least one season before being able to turn pro. There are reports that they will continue to look at this rule in the future though.
One great new change to the last CBA is that there will be less back-to-back games on future schedules. Some reports are saying that they will be lowered by 10.
These are just a few of the details regarding the new CBA. More details will be out as the hours pass.
