According to IMDB, There are three films coming out on June 17th, the first being “Lightyear” a PG rated Animation, Action, Adventure, Drama, Family, Sci-Fi that runs 100 minutes in length with a Metascore of 59. The film features director Angus MacLane alongside stars Chris Evans, Keke Palmer, Peter Sohn, and Taika Waititi. IMDB’s quick summary of the film states, “While spending years attempting to return home, marooned Space Ranger Buzz Lightyear encounters an army of ruthless robots commanded by Zurg who are attempting to steal his fuel source.”
The second film being released on June 17th is, “Spiderhead”, a rated R Action, Crime, Sci-Fi, Thriller with a 54 Metascore rating and runs approximately 106 minutes long. The film has stars Chris Hemsworth, Charles Parnell, Miles Teller, and Jurnee Smollett working alongside director Joseph Kosinski. IMDB summarizes it in saying, “In the near future, convicts are offered the chance to volunteer as medical subjects to shorten their sentence. One such subject for a new drug capable of generating feelings of love begins questioning the reality of his emotions.”
The third and final film to come out this week is, “Brian and Charles” a rated PG Comedy film with a Metascore of 65 and running 90 minutes in length. With director Jim Archer and stars David Earl, Chris Hayward, Louise Brealey, and Jamie Michie. The quick summary on IMDB states, “After a particularly harsh winter Brian goes into a deep depression; completely isolated and with no one to talk to, Brian does what any sane person would do when faced with such a melancholic situation. He builds a robot.”
