The Rock am Ring festival was going on in western Germany this past weekend and it did not end well. It was not because of questionable performances or a bad lineup, but instead terrible weather that hit the area.
Reports are saying that over 70 people were injured at the festival due to the storm, most specifically the lightning. The German Red Cross is saying that many were received electric shocks from the lightning in surrounding areas. Some were hit by debris and some even had asthma attacks because of the situation.
While some may want to blame the people that put on the show for not acting faster, the organizers are saying that’s not the case. They are blaming how bad the weather was, which sounds like a legitimate reason if you ask us.
Those that were performing at this year’s festival included Black Sabbath, Tenacious D, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
