M&M’s just released their new all female focused packaging that features only the female M&M characters as a part of their “Flipping the Status Quo” campaign. The packaging is limited time only and is available in milk chocolate, peanut butter and peanut varieties. The campaign aims to honor women changing the world and flipping the typical gender roles. Every pack shows the green, brown, and purple M&M’s, upside down, along with the message, “Supporting Women Flipping the Status Quo.”
The chief marketing officer at Mars Wrigley North America, Gabrielle Wesley stated, “Women all over the world are flipping how they define success and happiness while challenging the status quo, so we’re thrilled to be able to recognize and celebrate them – and who better to help us on that mission than our own powerhouse spokescandies Green, Brown and Purple?”
Meanwhile, $1 from each pack that is sold will go towards women empowerment organizations such as She Is the Music and We are Moving the Needle. The brand will be donating up to a total of $800,000 to other organizations that are helping to elevate women.
