Miranda Lambert Returns to Her Roots with Fiery New Album “Wranglers”

Miranda Lambert is channeling the energy of her early career with her upcoming 10th studio album, teasing fans with the release of her new single “Wranglers.” The song, reminiscent of her spunky Kerosene era, has already generated significant buzz.

“There’s always been a little bit of feisty on every record, but this song feels like it could go back to the Kerosene album or be on the same album as ‘Gunpowder and Lead,'” Lambert shared with Country Living while promoting her partnership with Lone River. “It definitely is a bit of a throwback to my really good revenge days, and I love that.”

Lambert’s life has seen many changes in the past year, all of which are bringing her closer to her core identity. Her new album, recorded at Austin’s Arlyn Studios, is set to release later this year. As the release date approaches, Lambert is eager to hit the road again with her iconic tour bus, Elvira.

Touring since she was 19, Lambert’s Velvet Rodeo Las Vegas residency offered her a welcome respite from the road. “Vegas was a good break from the crazy grind of the road. We love it so much, but I’m also ready to get back in it and go back to what I know,” she explained.

Lambert recently signed her first new record deal in over 20 years, leaving Sony Music Nashville for a partnership with Republic Records and Big Loud. This new collaboration has reignited her passion and inspiration. “It was time to move on,” Lambert said. “This partnership has offered me new inspiration and new fire to make a new album.”

Describing her upcoming record with Republic Records as “a real honky-tonk record” and “the most ‘me’ record I’ve made in a really long time,” Lambert is excited for this new chapter in her career.

Lambert is also focusing on her roots in Texas. She launched her own label, Big Loud Texas, with her longtime songwriting partner Jon Randall, to support the music scene that kickstarted her career. “I feel like we’ve got to keep it alive because it isn’t only influential to country music, it’s influential to all genres,” she said.

As part of her new beginning, Lambert is mentoring rising stars like Ashley Cooke and Kameron Marlowe. These artists will be featured at Lone River’s ACM kickoff event, Lone River Collective, on May 15, highlighting the best of country music and Texas culture.

Reflecting on her collaboration with Lone River founder Katie Beal Brown, Lambert said, “It’s a lifestyle and we both love that lifestyle.” Their partnership celebrates Lambert’s hometown of Lindale, Texas, and its rich heritage.

Miranda Lambert’s return to her Kerosene roots with “Wranglers” and her new album promises to be a thrilling ride for her fans, full of fire and authenticity.
