We’re in the middle of the week and it seems like the summer is flying by. Here are a few music news headlines to get you to Friday…
The Rolling Stones caught fire in the mid to late 60s in America, often times the subject of radio and television broadcasts. In an interesting twist, a new book entitled ‘Rolling Stones on Air in the Sixties; TV and Radio History As It Happened,’ written by Richard Havers will hit the shelves the third week of September.
You may not have heard about this story, but British teenager Haroon Ali-Syed has been sentenced to life in prison for the planning and attempt of blowing up Elton John fans at a Hyde Park concert in 2016.
Finally, Greg Lake, the remaining survivor of the iconic band ‘Emerson Lake and Palmer,’ has written an autobiography, released in the UK this past week. ‘Lucky Man’ is a trip though the initial meeting of the members of the band, to current days. ‘Lucky Man’ is one of the more interesting books to be written in years.
