It was 10 years ago this week that Michael Jackson made his last appearance at an award show and it was a huge moment in his life. He had just been found not guilty in court before heading to the World Music Awards.
Michael Jackson won the Chopard Diamond award in 2006. It is given to recording artists who have reach the 100 million albums sold mark in their career. Other winners include Rod Stewart (the first recipient), Mariah Carey, Celine Dion, Bon Jovi and The Beatles. Because of the stipulations of the award, the award is not given out every single year and has only been given out to these six artists/groups.
Michael was given the award by Beyonce in London at this amazing show.
