Melissa McCarthy had a great run on ‘SNL’ portraying Sean Spicer of the White House, giving fans a reason to tune into the Saturday night show. We now hear that she and her husband Ben Falcone have signed on to star and produce a yet to be named film about Boston’s first female cops in the 1970s.
Playing a cop comes easy to Melissa, having donned the patrol hat, belt and pepper spray in the films ‘Heat’ and ‘Ghostbusters’ over the years. Yes ‘we really really love her,’ as she’s earned an Emmy for her character in the CBS sitcom “Mike & Molly,” and the coveted Oscar nomination for ‘Bridesmaids’ in 2012.
Melissa has already shot the film “The Happytime Murders,” an adult R-rated film that won’t come out until next year.
