Meghan Trainor used her Instagram account his week to tell the world that she is dropping her latest LP ‘Treat Myself’ later in the summer, August 31st. She’s already released a couple of singles, “Let You Be Right.” and “No Excuses,” to help generate interest in the upcoming album.
Most fans don’t know that her breakout hit “All About That Bass” was nearly sung by Beyoncé and not Meghan, as no one wanted to sing her song (except an undisclosed person on Beyoncé’s label) so she sang it herself. Meghan got her start of course as a songwriter, getting country band Rascal Flatts to record two of her songs. Rihanna also recorded a song she wrote a few years ago.
