Mark Hoppus Continues to Practice Gratitude Months After Announcing He’s Cancer-Free

Blink-182’s Mark Hoppus has been cancer-free since September, and he is loving life!

“Life’s great! I’m glad to be here,” Hoppus said in a recent interview.

The punk-rocker went on to explain how he was “just getting back” into venturing out and that he “most wanted to get back into the studio and get back playing music — and get off my couch.”

Hoppus even reassured that he would be releasing new music “hopefully soon.”

In June of 2021, fans of Hoppus were shocked to find out that the bassist was undergoing cancer treatments for diffuse large B-cell lymphoma stage 4-A. Turns out, Hoppus had accidentally uploaded the post publically when he meant to only share it with a few close friends.

“Maybe part of me subconsciously posted it to my main, but I definitely didn’t do it on purpose,” Hoppus admitted in an interview long after the reveal. “But I don’t know. It kind of felt like a Band-Aid had been ripped off and I was able to be honest with people.”

Today, the artist is simply working to “enjoy every day.”
