If you have some cash laying around and want to go to one of the more popular music festivals this Spring, be sure to check out the Malibu Guitar Festival, held May 18 to May 21 in lovely Malibu, California. Fleetwood Mac’s Mick Fleetwood’s latest project, The Mick Fleetwood Blues Band, will be on stage, along with former Wings star Laurence Juber and rock god Steve Vai.
Robby Krieger from the iconic Doors will receive a Lifetime Achievement Award, helping celebrate the ‘Doors’ the album of the same name. Fleetwood’s blues outfit, which also features ex-Fleetwood Mac guitarist Rick Vito, will headline the festival’s main event Saturday, May 20, at Malibu Village. The band Juber and a variety of other musicians will also perform. A few of the stars include Steve Ferrone from Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers and country youngster Hunter Hayes.
Music isn’t the only item on the menu, as rock historian author Andy Babiuk will have a presentation about his 2014 book Rolling Stones Gear. On Sunday, May 21st, there will be an event called the ‘Rolling Stones Brunch,’ which features a presentation by rock music historian Andy Babiuk who will discuss and debate details surrounding his 2014 book Rolling Stones Gear.
