The 70s was an interesting decade; the Vietnam War was winding down, a few music genres were about to make their strongest appeal to radio listeners, both Southern Rock and Disco, and diversity was still found on the airwaves.
Rock and roll artists and bands struggled to find radio airplay, which eventually bore the explosion of FM radio. Rock and Roll and FM radio were a perfect marriage. What were the best rock songs from the 70s? Here’s our list…

2.) “Hotel California” by the Eagles
3.) “Free Bird” and “Sweet Home Alabama” by Lynyrd Skynyrd
4.) “Imagine” by John Lennon
5.) “Born to Run” by Bruce Springsteen
6.) “Go Your Own Way” “Don’t Stop” and “You Make Lovin’ Fun” from Fleetwood Mac
