Lizzo Reacts to Being Featured in “South Park”: “My Worst Fear Actualized”

Lizzo’s “worst fear” came true when she was featured in a special episode of “South Park,” titled South Park: The End of Obesity. The episode, which premiered on May 24, tackled the rising use of Ozempic and introduced a faux alternative named after the musician, who is a longtime advocate for body positivity.

A day after the special aired, the 36-year-old singer and rapper shared her reaction on TikTok, calling it a “blind duet” response. “Guys, my worst fear has been actualized. I’ve been referenced in a South Park episode,” she began.

In the episode, characters Sharon and Sheila, mothers of main characters Stan and Kyle, discuss weight loss medications. When Sharon mentions her doctor won’t prescribe Ozempic because she doesn’t have diabetes, Sheila asks how she manages her weight without it. Sharon replies, “I controlled all my cravings to be thinner with Lizzo.”

As Lizzo watched the scene, she covered her mouth in shock. The episode parodied medication commercials, with a narrator promoting the faux diet suppressant “Lizzo,” claiming it “makes you feel good about your weight — and it costs 90% less than Ozempic.”

Throughout the ad, Sharon comments, “I’ve lowered my standards and my expectations,” while the narrator claims “70% of patients on Lizzo no longer care how much they weigh.” The ad even features a character listening to a Lizzo album, prompting Lizzo to exclaim, “Not the f—— album!”

When Sharon concludes the ad with, “Ask about the power of not giving a f— with Lizzo,” the singer snaps her fingers and says, “period.”

After the clip, Lizzo reflected on the moment. “That’s crazy. I just feel like damn, I’m really that b—-,” she said. “I really showed the world how to love yourself and not give a f—, to the point where these men in Colorado know who the f— I am, and put it on their cartoon that’s been around for 25 years.”

She finished her video by stating, “And I’m gonna keep on showing you how to not give a f—,” before adding her own twist to the faux ad’s jingle.

South Park: The End of Obesity is now streaming on Paramount+.
