Little League Opens With Girls With Game Celebration

According to littleleague.org, going into year two at its new home in Greenville, North Carolina, the 2022 Little League Softball World Series experience got started on August sixth with their first ever Girls with Game Celebration at Elm Street Park. The event led off with an opening message from Ashlea Nash, the Little League Director of Softball Development, with all of the girls from the 12 teams involved having the opportunity to hear from Jaiden Fields, University of Georgia Outfielder, due to T-Mobile sponsoring. After the welcome messages, players were invited around the complex to participate in numerous activities, including autographs with Jaiden Fields, an adidas hair-braiding station, a photo booth, a customized ESPNW photo mural, a Girls with Game signature wall, and several outdoor activities and sports. There was also a local 16 year old DJ, FADA’WAY, provided music throughout the night for the teams. Giving the teams an opportunity to interact with each other and form new friendships between each other, with some even exchanging phone numbers. The 2022 Little League Softball World Series officially wrapped up yesterday after almost a week of running from the 9th through the 15th.
