The inaugural list of American Music Prize for Best Debut Album nominees is out and Leon Bridges is on among those eligible to win! This award is seeing its first list of nominees, but the event itself was created back in 2005.
Leon Bridges’ “Coming Home” is going up against 11 other albums at this juncture after being one of the top 12 of 60 albums the group picked through. Any album released from August 1 of 2014 and July 31 of 2015 was eligible, but they also had to sell over 1,000 copies.
If Bridges does win the award, he will be given $25,000. Come March 2, we’ll know who will be the winner!
