Who could forget the iconic line in a courtroom drama that included the line “Isn’t it the first cardinal rule of perm maintenance, that you’re forbidden to wet your hair for at least 24 hours…” That moment turned out to be the pivotal turn for the defense, as the witness revealed the painful truth. Yes, that ‘Jack McCoy moment’ was provided by the “Legally Blonde” character Elle Woods, or actress Reese Witherspoon.
Actress Reese Witherspoon is now talking to MGM with designs to bring back that franchise movie in “Legally Blonde 3.” “Legally Blonde” was a gigantic success for MGM, grossing $141.8 million worldwide
The original film featured Reese, opposite Selma Blair, Matthew Davis, Luke Wilson, and Victor Garber, grossing over $140 million worldwide. “Legally Blonde” was followed up by “Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde,” which grossed nearly $125 million, so it makes sense Reese would be shopping another installment of the franchise. The talks may be in the early stages, so stand by for more info as it becomes available.
