Latto Drops Missing Track “Chicken Grease” After Fans Demand Its Release

In the lead-up to her new album Sugar Honey Iced Tea, Latto teased fans with a snippet of a track sampling T.I.’s 2003 hit “24’s” in the trailer. However, when the album was released on August 9, fans were disappointed to find the song missing. Despite the album’s critical acclaim and strong streaming numbers, many listeners were left wondering what happened to the much-anticipated track.

Latto has heard their concerns and finally delivered. The track, titled “Chicken Grease,” has been added to the album’s “disc two” section, which also features street anthems like “Put It On Da Floor” and “Sunday Service,” along with their remixes. Fans are thrilled that the song, which seemed to be withheld for unknown reasons, is now officially part of the album.

While most are celebrating its release, some fans are dissecting the lyrics of “Chicken Grease,” speculating whether it contains any subliminal messages aimed at Ice Spice, with whom Latto had a brief, uneventful feud before their albums dropped. Regardless of the speculation, the addition of “Chicken Grease” has only heightened the excitement around Latto’s latest project.
