According to cbssports.com, Lebron James, Anthony Davis, and Russel Westbrook all had a phone conversation together where they supposedly expressed their commitment to each other and the team with the plan of doing their best to make it work next season. The report comes after a disappointing season where L.A. failed to make the playoffs, or secure a play in spot. Injuries to James and Davis didn’t help matters, and the Lakers fired head coach Frank Vogel as a result of the season. Although it is still an unsure future for Westbrook who recently separated from his longtime agent Thad Foucher over “irreconcilable differences”, Foucher was his agent since Westbrook had entered the league. The best hope for the Lakers would be for L.A. to hope that he can adapt to better fit alongside Davis and LeBron next season.
