Lady A Postpones Their Tour as Charles Kelley Seeks Sobriety

According to tasteofcountry.com, Charles Kelley of Lady A is on a path to sobriety which has led to the group postponing their Request Line Tour. The band posted to social media in saying, “We are a band, but more importantly … we’re family, We’re proud to say that Charles has embarked on a journey to sobriety. So, right now in order to be the healthiest, strongest and most creative band we can be, Lady A will take the time with the support of our families and team of professionals to walk through this together.” Kelley admitted to drinking too much and is quoted in saying that, “It’s early on this road, but we are determined to do what will best set us up for many more years together. At the time it was, it p—ed me off, I look back and I’m like, if they had not done that, who was going to do it, you know? Because my wife could tell me all she wanted to but until you’ve got your bandmates (speaking up), you’re like, ‘Oh sā€“ā€“, I’ve got, I’ve got to control this.’ There’s a lot of that on this record I think.” The tour was originally scheduled to start August 13th, information about refunds for tickets will be available soon.
