Earlier this month Kings of Leon joined Vince Gill, Bob Seger and Juanes to pay tribute to the classic band, the Eagles. The event was held at the Kennedy Center Honors in Washington, DC and the footage in video form is now something you can check out for yourself. Stephen Colbert was the host of this amazing event.
Kings of Leon played “Take It Easy” early on in the show. Junaes, Steuart Smith and Steve Vai would perform “Hotel California.” Later on Vince Gill would perform “Peaceful Easy Feeling.” Bob Seger joined in on the fun by playing “Heartache Tonight” and “Life in the Fast Lane.”
This event was supposed to be held last year, but unfortunately Eagles member Glenn Frey fell ill. He would eventually pass in January of this year and so the event was moved to earlier this month. Other Eagles’ members were on hand including Timothy B. Schmit, Don Henley and Joe Walsh.
