Kendrick Lamar Releases ‘Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers’ Merch

According to hiphopdx.com, Kendrick Lamar recently released new merch in support of his fifth studio album, Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers, K. Dot announced that it was arriving via a Twitter post on Monday, September 25th, sharing a signature brown manila folder icon that had very little detail. The caption read, “stepper pieces,” along with a link to the merch that included t-shirts, hoodies, and a five panel hat. Mr. Morale & The big Steppers is a highly anticipated follow up to 2017’s Pulitzer Prize winning album DAMN. in May. Since then he has been touring in support of the project and will make his Saturday Night Live debut in October.

Just last month, Chart Data made an announcement that it was the first rap album released in 2022 to reach over one billion streams on Spotify. The only project with similar streaming output was The Weeknd’s Dawn FM, that hit a billion streams in March then passing 2 billion a short time later.

Kendrick is set to win big at the 2022 BET Hip Hop Awards later on this week, with 9 nominations in the Best Live Performer, Lyricist of the Year, Hip Hop Album of the Year (Mr. Morale and the Big Steppers), Hip Hop Artist of the Year, Impact Track (two), Video Director of the Year, Best Hip Hop Video and Best Collaboration categories.

Kendrick also added an Emmy to his collection in September for participating in the Pepsi Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show. Kendrick Lamar and Megan Thee Stallion are also among the artists that were announced as musical guests for the upcoming season of Saturday Night live.
