Kelly Clarkson is The First Ever Female Host of the NFL Honors

Kelly Clarkson was the very first winner of American Idol, and now she accomplished being the first ever female host of the NFL Honors that was held on Thursday, February 9th. Clarkson took to the stage in a dark navy blue and white No. 86 jersey, that was actually a full on dress. The jersey/dress even has some of the Dallas Cowboys’ players name patches on it as well.

When Clarkson was interviewed via Entertainment Tonight about being the first female host ever, she stated that, “It’s a lot of weight to carry, ’cause I know there’s a lot of females in this whole industry in general, I was like, ‘Man, I want them all to be standing there with me.'”

While Clarkson was on stage she said, “I guess [once] you host a show they start asking you to host everything, I’m excited though! This is actually the year I really got into football with my girlfriends and my sisters.”

The NFL Honors Show Awards were aired just a few days prior to the Super Bowl showdown between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles.
