Kathy Griffin Celebrates Being Cancer-Free in Six-Month Scan

Kathy Griffin remains cancer-free sixth months after undergoing surgery to remove a tumor from her left lung.

To celebrate, the comedian posted a cheeky clip to Twitter of her skinny dipping and living life without inhibition.

“6 month lung cancer scan is CLEAN!!! No more #cancer,” she captioned the clip. “And yes, i’m skinny dipping in the pool while shaking my boobs and butt. SO WHAT?”

Griffin announced in December that her cancer was in remission, explaining that she has “never smoked,” and that the tumor had been in her lungs for “10 years.” She initially revealed her cancer diagnosis in August of last year.

Thankfully, all went well and continues to go well for Griffin’s health, and her perspective on life has seemed to fill with even more joy than before–even despite how cancer has changed her.

“For some reason,” she said in December of finding humor in her now-hoarse, post-surgery voice, “I laugh at everything now. And even if it’s horrible, I laugh way more!”
